🔥 Mastering Anger: Helping Toddlers Cope with Aggression

Anger is a natural and important part of early emotional life — and yes, young children often enjoy it!
At the same time, anger is a powerful feeling that can easily feel overwhelming or frightening, for children and parents alike.

In this online class, we’ll explore anger and aggression as a normal developmental stage and vital component of healthy emotional development. We’ll talk about how anger can be directed outward (hitting, yelling) or inward (withdrawal, self-blame), shaping a child’s emotional growth.

Parents will learn why allowing anger is essential, how fear of anger can complicate emotional development, and how our own relationship with anger deeply affects our children. We’ll also focus on practical, supportive ways to respond when children hit, bite, or explode — offering healthy outlets for angry feelings and helping children put words to what they feel.

When anger is understood and contained, it becomes a tool for self-assertion and self-protection, not destruction. By supporting children through these big emotions, we help them develop emotional regulation, resilience, and trust — from the very beginning.
